Joseph Cohen possesses a unique combination of skills and expertise that he has amassed through over 30 years as a cost engineer/estimator in Western New York. Regardless of what phase your project is currently in, Joe is fully capable of providing estimating related services that will maximize return and ensure your project’s success.

Prior to founding S&C Companies, Joe served as Senior Vice President in charge of the Estimating Department at CannonDesign and Savarino Companies. His responsibilities in these roles included: cost modeling, 5-D modelling quantification, parametric cost assemblies, value engineering, life cycle cost analysis both for sustainability as well as LEED Building and constructability / change order prevention reviews. He not only has the technical acumen, but leverages his extensive construction knowledge of the WCNY construction market and our communities’ subcontractors. Joe is on the board for the AIA of Western New York and the Committee for Governance.

Joe is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture. He also attended SUNY Albany where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and was a certified public accountant (CPA).
